Creating a Community.  Building a space for and of learning.  Sharing the joy we found.  Sharing the joy we grow.  We have developed an on-farm-learning series for these reasons...all classes are in "beta-testing" this year so there is a suggested donation but no fee.  Please RSVP by the Monday before the class unless otherwise noted.

Lecture Series

Anyone can implement more homegrown practices into their lives!  Join Alicia and Shabbar on Wednesday nights from 6 until dark, in July 11-August 8 for weekly talks and a shared meal. The topics covered include: 

7/11: Gardening 101- Let's Get Growing!
7/18: What Came First- Raising Egg Layers
7/25: Tastes Like Chicken- Raising Your Own Meat
8/1: Easy Foraged Foods and Potions
8/8: Micro Farms for Everyone

Meal will be potluck.

Indian cooking Classes

Pick one of the above sessions, and come to the Micro Farm and spend a night learning how to make some popular Indian dishes.  Menu will include:  Daal, Tandoori Chicken, Rice, Aloo Gobi, Dahi Chutney and Mint Chutney.  Enjoy the feast at the end of the night!  You will leave with printed recipes, a full belly, and a spice kit to make your own tandoori chicken.  


$45 per person (class is limited to 6 participants, minimum attendance: 3)

Story time in the Garden

Wednesday Mornings        10-11:30 am

Bring your favorite little person/ people!  Each session will include time in the garden, a story, maybe a song or two and a related activity and healthy snack.  Time after can be spent in the children's garden.  Rain Date- the next day (Thursday, same time, same place)

Suggested donation $10 per adult/child pair
Farmstand will be open
